The questions you would ask, if you were here.

Direct answers. No marketing language. If yours isn't here, ask it on the contact page — every question is replied to.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes. Clinical hypnotherapy is non-invasive, drug-free, and recognised by major medical bodies as a complementary therapeutic modality. You remain fully aware throughout the session, in control of your body, and able to end the experience at any moment. There are no recorded adverse events from properly-conducted clinical hypnosis.

How many sessions will I need?

Most specific, single-trigger phobias (flying, lifts, heights, needles) resolve in 4 to 8 sessions. Compound cases — phobias entangled with childhood trauma, OCD patterns, or generalised anxiety — typically take 8 to 14 sessions. After your first intake, you'll receive a candid estimate specific to your case.

Can hypnotherapy be done online?

Yes. Online sessions are conducted via secure video and are equally effective for most phobias. Many international clients work entirely online. You will need a quiet, private room for 60–90 minutes and a stable internet connection.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. This is the most common myth and the most categorically false one. Hypnosis is a state of deeply relaxed, focused attention — closer to a meditative state than sleep. You hear everything, can speak, can move, and can end the session at will. You cannot be made to do or accept anything against your values.

What if I can't be hypnotised?

Approximately 90–95% of adults can enter the therapeutic hypnotic state. People who report "I can't be hypnotised" almost always can — they are usually picturing the wrong thing. The depth of state varies by person, but the depth required for phobia work is accessible to nearly everyone.

Is everything strictly confidential?

Yes. Sessions are private. Records are encrypted. Clients can be booked under a first name only if preferred. No client information — names, conditions, content of sessions — is ever shared with any third party under any circumstance.

Do I need to stop my current therapy or medication?

No. Hypnotherapy works alongside other clinical care. We will discuss your existing treatment during intake. Any medication changes must always be made with your prescribing doctor — never independently.

What happens in the very first session?

The first session is a 60–75 minute intake and induction. You'll describe what you're experiencing, when it began, and how it shapes your life. We then move into a guided induction — your first experience of hypnosis — and a calming, grounding piece of work. You leave with clarity on the path ahead.

What does it cost?

Fees are quoted per session and depend on the format (in-person or online) and the protocol your case requires. Pricing is shared transparently during the initial call. No hidden costs. No pressure to buy packages upfront.

What if hypnotherapy is not right for my case?

You will be told plainly. Some presentations — active psychosis, severe dissociative disorders, untreated substance dependency — require a different specialist. In those cases you will be redirected to appropriate care, with no charge for the assessment call.

How permanent are the results?

The aim is structural change, not symptom management. When the original subconscious pattern is resolved, the phobic response does not return. Multi-year follow-up data on previous clients shows sustained outcomes well beyond the close of treatment.

Can children or teenagers be treated?

Yes — adolescents from 14 upwards, with parental consent and for some cases parental presence. Younger children are referred to specialists who work specifically with paediatric populations.
